Real life intervenes yet again

Well, I finally got around to doing something comic related again. I've not had the time really in the last 4 months due to many reasons. In July, we moved to a new apartment and didn't really get unpacked until August which is when I started school again after being out since 1997. Since then, I've been busy as heck it seems doing everything cept drawing and mudding. Can't do much about that though as that's just a part of life.

Hm.... looking at my journal history, its been over a year since I posted anything on it.

*shrugs*

I guess I have more important things to mess with.

The background is a photo and The Luggage itself was modeled and rendered in Alias|Wavefront 6 or 7. The textures were pencildrawn, and then photoshopped, but the final rendering has not been enhanced in PS.

Huzzah, welcome to dA! I really appreciate the comment and the +watch. I've got a few more Discworld OC pieces to put up sometime in the near future. I do indeed do almost everything with just pencil and paper, and if it doesn't look like it, then that's the Photoshop talking. :>

I'm assuming that you play the Discworld MUD? (What a great place, huh?) What's Baldarov like?

I've been playing it since 2002 and had first tried back in 98. Best time consumer I've ever seen :). Met my wife Smaragdi on there as well :). She's BabyVegeta on here.

Baldarov's a hunter. I like to picture him in my mind all decked out in leather and stuff but he dies far too fast without any of the custom klatchian steel stuff he normally wears :(.

I've tried doing character portraits of him but they come out looking horrible :). I can't seem to figure out how to make the armour and weapons look good.

I'm trying a new program for this week's comic. I think its a big improvement over the previous ones although there are still things I'd like to do that I just don't have time to :).
